When I first met Alex, I was completely captivated by her “true love” story and the tale of how she met Peter on a blind date that blossomed into a lasting love affair and brought them a gorgeous son they so clearly treasured. Helping bring their wedding day vision to life, was an absolute joy and we’re thrilled to share the images of their day, captured so beautifully by Paulo Santos.

Alex & Peter decided on a marquee wedding in the grounds of a country estate in Northamptonshire and despite in being the Easter bank holiday weekend, there was a scorching heatwave which did give us a few challenges along the way! It was such a beautiful setting with so many wonderful photo opportunities as you can see. Alex looked absolutely stunning in her bespoke bridal gown.

Cars were most definitely the order of the day, both vintage and Peter’s beautiful, blue Aston Martin. With over 200 guests, a large marquee was erected by Trend Marquees, with a huge main section for the wedding breakfast and 2 smaller sections for the bar and ceremony/evening chill out area.

The ceremony marquee was transformed with a huge ceiling canopy of trailing wisteria and 2 foliage columns, based with pampas plumes to frame the bride & groom. Alex really wanted to wow her guests as they entered the marquee for the first time and we most definitely did our best to deliver. Apologies to any very tall guests who may have felt the wisteria tips grace the tops of their heads but it was worth it for the drama!

Knowing Alex had a love of pampas grass we agreed on alternating tall vases of pampas plumes & twisted willow with floral rings at the base, with low rose gold glass bowls filled with garden roses and masses of textured foliage to keep the displays fresh and green.

Huge congratulations Alex & Peter, we wish the three of you a fun filled journey full of love and laughter. Thank you so much for picking us to help “flower” your big day.
