Jessica & Sam's wedding was just a joy for us, they wanted a relaxed, and cool vibe for their day, transforming the beautiful Notley Abbey in Buckinghamshire with a vibrant red & white colour scheme, and an array of outdoor props and garden games. Huge thanks to John Alexander for sharing these fabulous images, they really capture the essence of a magical day.

Jessica knew she wanted to look elegant but informal so she abandoned heels in favour of a pair of Converse.  She wore her hair down with beautiful long loose, ringlets ( "Tangled" style) and we wired lots of tiny flowers for her hairdresser Lavita Hair Design to work into her hair.

We had enormous fun working with their wedding planner Ela at Bochic Weddings who was responsible for all the styling and the props. She was fantastic and helping deliver Jessica & Sam's vision whilst allowing us the creative freedom to make a contributution with our floral designs.

We all had our fingers crossed that the weather would be kind enough for the wedding ceremony to take place outside, we needn't have worried as it was a gloriously hot August day! We framed the aisle by filling little zinc pots with gypsophila to hang on the end of alternate chairs and positioned 2 large floral displays on whiskey barrels at the front. There were 10 bridesmaids in fiesta red dresses and 1 tiny flower girl; they all carried beautiful textured red & white bouquets or all white gypsophila bouquets.

Aaah, Jessica looking stunning in her gorgeous bespoke Caroline Castilian dress with a dramatic train and long lace sleeves. We relished the challenge of making a long, trailing bouquet to compliment her dress which she was thrilled with.

For the wedding breakfast, the barn was transformed with red & white balloons and ribbons on every chair. The top table had a floral runner along the whole length of the table and all the other tables had a loose, unstructured display in a white urn. The amazing tiered, naked fruit cake was made by Jessica, we just added a few flowers to finish it off!

Huge congratulations to Jessica & Sam, you look so, so happy, we are thrilled you had an amazing day. Thank you to you and the whole family for being such a joy to work for and looking after us all so well on set up day.

Wishing you every happiness
